The last great one
This show has some truly Epic moments. The Fire is as amazing as the Vince era ever got. This is the show to play for those willing to give a listen

to later era shows, but say they never offer anything. This is crackling with energy from the launch. There are a few minor vocal miscues, but not the mumbling entire passages as was common at times in 1995. The best of the last 2.5-3 years hands down. The only minor hiccup is Bobby coming out of space with cheesy answers when the place was begging for Dark Star, you could hear the murmur and the space has a little bit of that feel to it.

This is the version to listen to.
This version sounds a lot more up front than the other boards on here. Gave it 5 stars for being the best recording of the best show of the year.

in time to hear the Help> chords drop. After many shows this was a first Help>Slip>Franklin's for me and I knew I was in for a good night. The band is just ON here, in a way that was really rare for the era, song selection aside. I actually find myself tapping my foot to Vince's playing during "The Same Thing", a song that normally bores me to tears, Jerry is lively and spry through Loose Lucy, a song that he sometimes seemed to nap through, and I even have to admit I enjoy the jam at the end of Eternity. It's not the sort of thing a man is proud to admit, but it's true here. Scarlet>Fire, of course, is epic - really one for the ages, although I haven't made exhaustive comparisons, I'd say it's easily the best of the year. Sure, there's some low points - like Cheesey Answers - but this is really an amazingly nice evening for Summer 1995.
